Devin
Gardener has made a significant impact at the WR slot for the Wolverines this
year. The 6'4 203lbs. Junior has had 8 catches for 155 yds. and 3 TD's this
season. He's averaging 19.4 yards a catch and had a very nice catch and run for
a TD against UMass Saturday afternoon.
It should also
be interesting to see how Michigan plays him. A deep outside threat or a come
acroos the middle catch annd run. If Denard can find him whens he's open he is
a serious problem for a defense. Big, strong and physical.
He has
converted from QB to WR and could be impactful in a trick plays with him
throwing the ball, if OC Al Borges decides to mix some of those plays in. With
the Notre Dame game approaching, It will be interesting if end around options
come into play. Could be the type of trickery that gives Michigan a W.
